Expert Offers Guidance for Long-Term Care Awareness Month
BELLEVUE, WASH., NOVEMBER 5, 2012— Coinciding with national Long-Term Care Awareness Month, Stephen D. Forman is proud to announce the completion of his educational series of articles surveying the basics of LTCi policies marketed today. One of the nation's most esteemed voices on the topic, Forman concluded his 5-part series by focusing on the history, variety and value of what are called "Shared Care Riders".
Commenting on the occasion, Forman, senior vice-president of LTCA, said, "I can think of no more fitting month than November to offer my guidance to families just beginning their LTC planning—or those who may be on the fence." He continued, "Into this 5-part series of educational articles I poured my 20-year expertise to not only help American consumers sort fact from fiction, but also to raise the bar for all hardworking agents who serve them."
The entire 5-part series has been made available by the online magazine Producers eSource, where Forman is a regular contributor:
- "The Top 10 Long-Term Care Riders You Need to Know"
- "Inflation: The Silent Killer of LTC Insurance"
- "LTCi Riders: Return of Premium"
- "LTCi Features: Immediate Benefits"
- "LTCi Riders: Shared Benefits"
Long Term Care Awareness Month was established as November in 2001, and coincides with National Alzheimer's Disease and Caregivers Month. Forman noted, "The bond between these issues is too grave to ignore—even the Federal Government's National Alzheimer's Plan (2012) now includes a recommendation that consumers get more information about private LTC Insurance options, and encourages Americans to educate themselves about LTC services. LTCA was proud to lead the industry in our role as consumer educator."
